Progress report from Sumitomo

ABSTRACT

Sumitomo Heavy Industries, Ltd. has begun development of the MP-30X cyclotron system, which will output a He2+ beam of 200euA. The development started in 2023, completed the design including beam orbit calculation and target thermal analysis, and started full-scale fabrication in 2024. We report on the development progress and future business plans.
